NHL FanDuel Lineup for February 15, 2013

Yes, I am trusting this man to help win us some cash. Plus, he’s just $3,000.

With a full slate of games on the NHL docket tonight, I had no difficulties filling out a roster over at FanDuel. In reviewing the matchups, we should have some great hockey viewing on the television (or at the rink) tonight.

What is Daily Gaming?

No matter your situation, and in case you had not noticed, “daily gaming” has made giant strides in the fantasy sports world over the past two years. Daily games in fantasy hockey allow you the opportunity to pick a new team of your favorite players each night. Depending on the type of game you play, you could earn thousands of dollars in any given contest. The best part about this is that, in the majority of U.S. states, it is all legal so you do not have to go around talking about how you risked those confection, Valentine’s hearts.

Once you have registered for an account at FanDuel and have deposited $10 using PayPal (and I know that you have spent $10 on worse habits such as buying vegetables or those “green drinks”), all you need to do is choose a $2 or $5 matchup in the draft lobby, pick your roster while staying under the $55,000 salary cap, and then sit back and enjoy watching your stats compile all night! I promise…it is a great and fun way to enjoy the NHL action on any given night and a simple way to win some quick cash if you know what you are doing (or if you follow my advice).

My 2/15/2013 NHL Lineup

Now that we have covered the basics, below is the lineup that I will use tonight in a $25 game and a few 50/50 games to ensure some payout, which has been my strategy over the past week. I haven’t finished outside the top 25 yet in these 50/50 games and while the payout is small, it somewhat hedges your cash in your head-to-head matchup if you happen to face a shark in any given night.

LW: Chris Kunitz ($7,300)
LW: Milan Lucic ($6,400)
RW: David Clarkson ($6,600)
RW: Ilya Kovalchuk ($6,800)
C: Sidney Crosby ($9,000)
C: David Krejci ($6,200)
D: Kevin Shattenkirk ($5,100)
D: Niklas Kronwall ($4,500)
G: Jake Allen ($3,000)

Salary remaining: $100.

As you can tell, I’m semi-stacking two Devils’ forwards, two Penguins’ forwards (anchored by Sid “The Kid” Crosby) and two Bruins’ forwards. Both Kunitz’s and Crosby’s stats should speak for themselves. Plus, both play on Pittsburgh’s number one power play line and they are facing the team giving up the most power play points per game in the Winnipeg Jets. Boston’s power play has been ice cold, but the Bruins’ games this year against the Sabres have all been battles – the last game out the B’s lost in OT and in the prior game we saw the Sabres absolutely outclass the Bruins. I also chose to go with Clarkson and Kovy (who’s price is steadily rising) as Pittsburgh is giving up the 9th most power play points per game.

Thanks for the comment, Scott. Post-game, what do you think of my Kovy and Clarkson picks now? Kovy was nasty and Clarkson scored his expected goal.

Kovy tons of minutes and producing , great pick and clarkson and skinner are both almost a daily play for me as well! love the site/tweets following daily of course and will probably being dipping toes in the water with baseball soon and snag the guide, but hockey all focus now. Expecting bounce night from Tampa today saturday, and for some reason I think the low scoring oilers put together a game tonight. Took Eakin awhile to get moving in dallas and I think the Oilers put 4+ 2night. However Im confused on D play for 2nite, started scrambling some early lineups and finding trouble in that spot on who to use. J schultz if healthy, most say he’s in , but how is he is my question. GL Bro !
