( and in my opinion moving forward..) With The San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, New York Jets, and St. Louis Rams all on a bye this week …I am also here to help navigate the fantasy football seven seas…so AHOY MATES! as we dive into what I like and don’t in Week 9..with a little “The Big Lebowski” thrown in for poops and giggles..
I will be grouping the offensive skill positions listing my “Loves” first and then “Hates”….After that I will color code them from most comfortable to least comfortable on placing into my starting lineup This Sunday. Just trying to further give you some clarity on the fantasy football landscape for the upcoming week (and for weeks to come) ..Hope its not to confusing and hope it ultimately helps…

“That rug really tied the room together.”
Josh Freeman(TAM): After stringing together 3 solid games in a row and getting the Oakland Raiders next it would be hard for Tom Brady owners to pass on this wavier wire option for Week 9
Jay Cutler(CHI): TEN isn’t really the model of defensive dominance..But neither is Jay Cutler on the offensive side..proceed with caution..
Carson Palmer(OAK): I don’t like recommending him but as long as he has a healthy Denarius Moore at his disposal he could be a safe BYE Week Fill in..
“RW3″(SEA): The man that many know as Russell Wilson is taking Seattle by storm..and I one of his biggest fans is a huge supporter of his skills regardless of low projections weekly .. he is has guts and that enough is good for me to cheer for..
Joe Flacco(BAL): Wakko Flacco coming out of the BYE lets just hope he got the memo on Feeding Ray Rice the ball…Cleveland presents a semi favorable matchup…
Nick Foles (PHI): If you own Micheal Vick ,If you are desperate for a QB, need a QB in a two QB league in the future..The time maybe now to pounce on him..Regardless if Vick starts this week or not..If Vick is talking about it in a post game interview there has to be some serious truth to it..a huge risk sure considering Vick could explode Monday night but better to be safe than sorry, right?
“This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps!”
Matt Hasslebeck(TEN): Playing Chicago…safe to say dump him back to the wire is in order…
Ryan Fitzpatrick(BUF):Not a great looking matchup playing the Texans what works in his favor is garbage time…
Phillip Rivers(SD): I don’t like this guy .. he has been piss poor this year overall..SELL SELL SELL .. don’t forget this is a TNF and other than last week the stars have been absent form these contests..
Tony Romo(DAL): I can no longer take this guy serious as a Fantasy QB1 ..let alone a NFL Starter…
Andrew Luck(IND):This a down week for the Andrew Luck Roller coaster as I see the inability to establishing aground game will limit what this offense can or can not do..(Disclaimer: He is playing at home and has done exceptional in the house that Peyton built)
Aaron Rodgers(GB): He let owners down a week ago..and it wasn’t all his fault…if he can get Jordy back this week I will upgrade him a bit but I’d be concerned of a another possible stinker..
“Lady, I got buddies who died face down in the muck so that you and I could enjoy this family restaurant!”
Jonathan Stewart(CAR): He got the work..didn’t do much with .. but it wasn;t excepted to..this week a softer matchup in Washington may be what the doctor ordered..
Ronnie Brown(SD): I mention him a week ago on PTP, but those of you in PPR or desperate in deep leagues should look his way as he truly has established a role in the offense going forward
Johnathan Dwyer(PIT): Two week in a row he has posted over 100 yards .. but is being placed on the injury report with a groin issue..Tomlin has yet to commit to him as THE guy but I like what I have seen outta him and if Tomlin gives him the green light ..I’m starting him..
Rasard Jennings(JAX):Well, he has the job there is no doubt about that can he do anything with a soft matchup..well this week we get a chance to see…
Mikel LeShoure(DET): Come on pimp getting the opportunity to get the carries and is doing nothing with him I believe this week it is put or shut up..as K.Smith is sniffing his way back onto the field..keep an eye on the injury report here I like whoever gets the nod at starter
Ronnie Hillman(DEN): I believe all Willis McGahee owners MUST OWN this guy moving forward..I doubt he receives a lot of touches game to game but he looks like he will have a unique spot in the offense..Dynasty Owners have to be pleased at what 2013 could bring..
“Uh, excuse me. Mark it zero. Next frame.”
Chris Johnson(TEN): Chicago D is beyond tough..
CJ Spiller & Fred Jackson(BUF): Don’t like either but maybe one scores via screen game..the difficult process owners will need to digest weekly..
“The Law Firm” Benjarvus Green-Ellis(CIN): As much as I loved the signing of him this offseason..(Truth be told I would’ve loved Bush as well) But it doesn’t seem like Marvin and Jay Gruden understand how to establish a run game and have abandoned it rather early .. This week playing Peyton and the Broncos … looks like another week we abandon the run extremely early in this contest..
Darren McFadden(OAK): Its not about the matchup…this has everything to do with this team..its playcalling and not full utilization of him to his strengths..
Trent Richardson (CLE): He had a solid outing a week ago…and I know what you are thinking the Ravens haven’t stopped anyone on the ground..but I think the BYE week clears up all that mess and TRich is held in check..temper your expectations..
Adrian Peterson (MIN): Seattle is a very tough D to play against and then add in the part the Vikings are playing this on the road where the 12th man is a factor…don’t feel great about it..
” I could be just sitting at home with pee stains on my rug.”
Sidney Rice(SEA): Going against the old squad … I like him to have a solid day..
Santana Moss(WAS):After all the WRs on the team a week ago drop pass after pass…Santana seems like the safe option in their passing game ..even tho he isn’t on the filed for the majority of the snaps..
Justin Blackmon(JAX): @RojoPal had a interesting discussion on PTP a week ago about Cecil Shorts..and I totally endorse that message but .. Blackmon was the drafted in the #1 round..glad to see it paying some dividends…lord knows he doesn’t wanna be compared to Roy Williams
Titus Young Sr.(DET): Forced into the starting lineup due to injury and he broke out…If he is still sitting on your Wavier Wire by some chance go ahead and pick him up love him moving forward…
Darius Heyward Bey(OAK): The emergence of Moore should allow Heyward-Bey room to roam moving forward drawing the weaker of the DB matchups
Mike Williams(TAM):He has been scoring a lot as of late..as long as Josh Freeman is hot .. he should remain a lukewarm option..
“He thinks the carpet pissers did this?”
Any Titans Wide Receiver: With this being such a crap shoot week to week it is tough to gauge who will be productive and who won’t on a weekly basis.. inconsistent play all around I would avoid..
Dwayne Bowe(KC):As of typing this ..he has not been traded and I’m sorry garbage points aside..no one can honestly feel comfy starting this guy on a weekly basis..could be an interesting play to acquire him in dynasty leagues as him leaving after this year is an almost certainty
Torrey Smith(BAL):Bye week is always a great time to clean up a team’s respective game…this week though.. Joe Haden will be opposite..
Vincent Jackson(TAM):Can Oakland STOP him from being productive doubt it ..but can he make himself unproductive certainly..
Victor Cruz (NYG): Teams are starting to shut him down and clamp his production…think it happens again this week versus Ike Taylor
Percy Harvin(MINN): Seattle DBs may just be too tough for little Harvin to handle..
“Hey, nice marmot!”
Heath Miller(PIT): Last chance to hop on the train before it leaves the station..
Greg Olsen(CAR): With Steve Smith dropping mad bombs this weekend..and LaFell out with a concussion..upgrade Olsen
Jermaine Gresham(CIN): I hope that The Bengals realize that he is a mismatch… who has been underutilized
Logan Palusen(WAS):RGIII is looking for him more than anyone esle..love his PPR value the rest of the season..
Mercedes Lewis(JAX): Sneaky TD Sleeper
Ben Waston(CLE):Sneaky TD Sleeper
“No, Donny, these men are nihilists. There’s nothing to be afraid of.”
Jermicheal Finely(GB): Dead to me on soo many levels..
Dwayne Allen(IND): Upgraded when Fleener was ruled OUT this week but don’t love his matchup
Martellus Bennett(NYG): The Black Unicorn living up to his mythical nickname because he has not been seen on fantasy radars for quite some time..
Jimmy Graham(NO):The Matchup Stinks ..he doesn’t look himself…Very tough to sit..
Jason Witten(DAL): After the week he had .. no way he sniffs anywhere near equal targets and catches
Tony Gonzalez (ATL): I place him here because he has had a rather quiet time the last couple of games..I am not worried because of skills ..the matchup may be tough to digest…
